Gilchrist Elementary Event

Doughnuts for Dads
October 21st & October 22nd, 8:00-8:30am

Come share a doughnut with your dad or a loving adult. Bring your own coffee or juice.
• Students with last names A-L will attend Tuesday, October 21st
• Students with last names M-Z will attend Wednesday, October 22nd
After donuts, dads are invited to the classrooms to watch the morning announcements.

EDEP – Lights on After School: October 23rd, 6:00-8:00pm

The Afterschool Alliance works to ensure that all children have access to quality after school programs. Our program will join in and participate with the 7,500+ other events across the nation by hosting a special event at Gilchrist in our cafeteria immediately following the GES Afterschool Program. National School Bus Safety Week October 20th-24th

Please take this time to thank our bus drivers and showing them appreciation for keeping our children safe. They transport hundreds of students safely to and from school every day.

PTO Boosterthon Fun Run Rundraiser: October 7th-23rd

The theme is Rock'n Town Live, a music festival theme all about community. Students participated in character building exercises, as well as a run that took place at Gilchrist Elementary on Thursday, October 16th. A special thanks goes out to Rowe Roofing and FMB for their generation donations allowing every student to go home from the event with a Gilchrist T-Shirt. Texas Roadhouse Share Night: Tuesday, October 28th

Come out and join us from 4:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, October 28th at Texas Roadhouse on Capital Circle NE. Please tell your server you are there to support Gilchrist and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the school. It's a great time to spend with family and friends from school. Hope to see you there!

Gilchrist Winter Choral Rehearsal Schedule

2014-2015 yearbooks are now available to be pre-ordered for $20 until December 19th from Leonard's at www.leonards.com/yearbooks?con_no=C31051 – the school code is 31051. Yearbook messages cost $5.00 each – the Printable Yearbook Message forms are due along with payment by December 19th.
